Paul, our owner and master roaster, has been serving up his daily roasted coffee now for over a decade! Paul visited the coffee plantations of Costa Rica. He learned all of the nuances of coffee growing, watching the process, first hand, from growth to pulping, drying and eventual exporting of the raw coffee product. Ben Campbell joined the crew at The Charleston Coffee Exchange in 2017. He brings eight years of home roasting as well as his experience in Brazil visiting multiple coffee farms and learning about each part of the process from the cultivation of the plants to processing the final product. While in Brazil he had the opportunity to tour Minasul, Brazil’s third largest cooperative and observe the first round of cuppings for 2013 Specialty Coffee Producer of the Year. Ben truly enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for all things coffee and matching other coffee lovers up with their perfect bean.
